You know how some songs just "connect" with exactly with what you're feeling at the moment? That's how I'm feeling about Ingrid Michaelson's new song "Maybe".
I know that it's not a matter of IF Gerritt gets home, but WHEN he gets home - I know that in my brain, but it just feels so far away right now that to be able to hear that "maybe he'll come back in the future", sounds exactly like how it feels.
One thing I do know, though, is that I've never had a stronger relationship with him, or anyone, like this. You truly don't realize what you have until you don't have it anymore! I'm SO grateful for him - and I'll tell ya, I'd KILL just to have him home, doing any one of his annoying idiosyncrasies that I now miss so much.

I ADORE Ingrid. LOVE HER GUTS. This song has been on my playlist for awhile but I've never seen the video - so cute and creative. Loved it.
But in ur case - the song needs to be titled - "Definitely" ;)
I appreciate you reminding me not to take anyone for granted. I try not to anyway, but it's true that we sometimes don't truly appreciate all that we have until its gone.
