Here are a couple things that are going on -
* My 23 year old brother just got diagnosed with Autism, so I'm trying to think of ways to help him, just, get what he wants out of life. He is on the highly functional side, and lives with roommates, but I want to see him getting more out of the gospel and making friends. He's such a cool guy!
* We're in the final stages of taking out $45K more in student loans, for Gerritt's flight program. Of course, he's over-the-top excited to start, and I can't wait to have it done!! The punk will be spending many a weekend out of town in the upcoming months, as he has told me that his instructor likes to take trips to other states. I can't say I'm not jealous!
* The house we're living in is for sale, and we don't really know for sure if we're staying or going. They are asking for a ridiculously insane amount, so it's comforting that no one's been looking at it! We actually had thought about buying it, but decided that it's a bad market, and we want to save, save, save for a down payment before we commit. We do LOVE it here - the ward is awesome and the neighborhood is perfect. We'll see what the future holds.
* We saw my cute sister perform in her school play of "Beauty and the Beast" on Weds., which was really fun. Max was afraid of The Beast, until his teenage, pre-pubescent voice began to sing... It was an impressive production though. Whoever made the costumes deserves a medal! Well, except maybe for Belle's dress, who's zipper broke and forced her to come out on stage with her back unzipped all the way down to her waist. If that doesn't scream anti-depression meds all through her high school years, I don't know what does!
* Hudson's been actually pulling up on his hands and knees, and rocking! DANGER! I'm really scared about what this will mean for Gerritt and I on Sundays, when we try to juggle him and the 7 Sunbeams in our class!
Anyway, that's the majority of what's been on my mind lately. I can't WAIT for warm weather to be more permanent! We actually went out on Friday and I threw down a blanket for the kids on the grass. I convinced Max that we were having a "Sun Nap", and we just basked in the ambience for about an hour. It was HEAVEN!

Wow Emily, so many things going on! Poor Belle and her dress! You called it right on that one...meds STAT! A sun nap sure does sound like heaven. :)
You certainly have a lot on your plate there Missy. Hopefully Hudson will be up and crawling around soon to add one more thing for you!
I sure would love a "sun nap"! I can't wait for the weather to stay warm.
Sound like you've got a lot going right now! Just remember to take a sun nap for yourself every once in a while!
Wow, you do have alot going on! I hope you can figure something out for your brother, that's got to be hard to get a diagnosis like that at his age. A sun nap sounds so good right now!
that IS a lot of stuff! Hope at least some of them will calm down soon. :) a Sun nap sounds divine! I hear ya about the *danger*, Ains is starting to scoot herself around.. life will never be the same.. lol. good luck!
I love the sun naps too. Me and the girls went for a walk this morning with just light jackets. I am so glad the warmth is coming.
Wow! Never a dull moment huh? Cute pics by the way.
1. Ham's such a great guy!
2. Student loans are quite the bitter sweet situation, aren't they? I'm pretty sure ALL of our money is student loans right now...if only my schooling weren't so gosh darn expensive!
3. You guys teach sunbeams!? Me too! I find that my voice always hurts after trying to keep that really animated, enthusiastic, sem-high pitched tone for over an hour. crazy kids.
So many things, so little time! You have been up to a lot lately. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow night at L&L. I want to hear more about your brother. See you tomorrow!
Ham is a great guy, and I'm glad that now he can move forward knowing what he's got to work with. any advice for student loans?? jack and I will be getting into those in a year I think because he's going to try to get into a grad school program to get an mba.
Wow I guess a lot has gone on. All I know is your little sister is adorable and looks so much like you. Hope the house takes a long time selling so you can figure out where you need to go. I love sunshine!
What cute siblings you have! Sorry to hear about your brother - - he is lucky to have you looking out for him. Hang in there, my friend.
Your sis is such a cutie! Poor girl having to go out on stage with her dress undone...I wonder why they didn't have safety pins on hand.
The weather here is a tad too warm. I almost put the A/C on today. Bleh.
I want a sun nap!!
Wow, the play sounds just like high school drama. One day they'll laugh about it........
I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I guess once you have a diagnosis you can move forward. You're a great sister. He's lucky to have you. I assume that's a picture of him--he's a cute guy!
Can I tell you how much I'd love a sun nap? I'll have to see if I can convince my kids to that one soon. Sounds like a lot of stuff- mostly good, so that's good! I hope you're able to find a living situation that you're happy with!.
Hey - I want to talk to you about your brother! I have some questions! Thanks for the invite for Bunco - sorry I couldn't go!
My 20 year old BIL is autistic too but you wouldn't even know.. he seriously goes about his day like anyone else!
EMILY! His voice wasn't that bad, the other cast was better... lol
But anyway, yeah. Jocelyn (Babette the feather duster) and I were in charge of her quick changes and we tried to get safety pins in but we didn't have enough time and she almost missed her cue! We just had to pray nothing dramatic would happen like it did in Joseph and the Amazing Technecolor Dreamcoat! I won't even go into that play... lol
