Busy Bodies!

I just have to say, I'm quite proud of myself for actually busting out the sewing machine and making something!

My Mom is an amazing, professional seamstress (one of her MANY talents), and I was raised just about forced, definitely against my will, to sew.

A lot.

Since this point, I pretty much only do it when I have to, and even then, I whine and complain about how much I don't like it, the entire time. Well, I'm trying to do better at starting and completing more projects. There is definitely a thrill that comes from finishing something that kept you up until the wee hours of the morning!

Here are some nursing covers that I copied from the $32 one that I bought. I gave them both to cousins that are due with their first babies in a few weeks, but I love how they turned out!

Who knows - this may even be the start of a little boutique, along with my partner in crime......

Hudson has been a busy practicing the sitting up position... It's coming along nicely!

Max has been busy watching Disney's Tarzan and pretending to be the jaguar with sharp teeth. Notice the drool dripping off his chin - adding to the rabid look in this pic.

I can't remember...doesn't it say something in the scriptures about not butt-biting??

Hey, it's Marie. I found your link on Nicole's blog. I'll add to mine. Stop by ours occasionally(since you never get to see us...or Zack!) Cute nursing covers!! My sis made something similar. Sewing has been consuming my time lately too. We should get together and swap project ideas!

I would totally buy one of those nursing covers. They look so cute! Hey, I'm down for a shin-dig anytime. Ahh... it feels so good to be unemployed. My e-mail is englebrightfam@yahoo.com

Wow those are cool! Good job! I don't think I could sew a button on if I had to. ;) Way to go Hudson!

Ha, I think it covers back biting in the scriptures, but not butt biting. lol. Those nursing covers turned out so cute.

I feel exactly the same way about the whole sewing thing although your mom really is so, so amazing and I'm thinking you were probably pressured a bit more than I was. I do wish they sold that just-finished-a-sewing-project feeling by the bottle, though. Love that.
I would totally shop at you and Rusti's boutique, by the way. Do it!

oh yeah, who's pregnant? I'm betting it's your cousins but just thought I'd asked because information has a hard time making it to Oregon sometimes...

Maybe I'll have to pay you to make one of those for me instead of giving my money to Hooter Hiders. :-)
